Our Mission

Arise Advocacy exists to provide free, independent and impartial advocacy services that will enable and empower people to have their say, communicate their needs and make informed choices in obtaining community and health services in the way they want them.

Our Vision

Arise Advocacy’s vision is for people regardless of age, disability or health to have the same and equal opportunity to live their own lives and achieve the lifestyle they want.

As an organisation, we ensure that people have control over their own lives who,
tired of others making assumptions about their capabilities and views,
wanted equal access to information and a voice of their own.

We help people who because of a disability, illness, social exclusion and other challenges
find it difficult to express their views or get the support they need.

Our Values

Our values are our core principles, the qualities and beliefs that drive all of our work. These have evolved over the years and can now be restated to ensure we put people at the heart of everything we do

  • Professional: We are committed to working in a confidential, person-centered Being respectful, reliable and independent.
  • Empowering: We will empower people to develop their skills and confidence, stand up for their rights and regain confidence.
  • Engaging: We will meaningfully engage with people and groups to make sure they are involved in the design, delivery and evaluation of our services.
  • Open, Free & Fair: Arise Advocacy will offer services that are free and accessible to the community while encouraging and valuing diversity and always working in a fair and open way.
  • Commitment: We are committed to creating an organisation-wide culture that embraces diversity, promotes inclusion and fosters cultural competence.
